On June 24, 2024, FUTU-RE engineer, Shigeru Kosugi, presented a poster at the 6th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Medical AI, which was held at Nagoya City Civic Assembly Hall in Tsuruma Park.
The poster, entitled “System for Measuring Vital Signs Installed in a Senior Car”, detailed research on a non-contact system for measuring the vital signs of passengers of an autonomous vehicle. This system is one of the features of the single-seater senior mobility solution, LifeShuttle, currently under development by our R&D team. The goal is to enhance user convenience by linking biometric data gathered by the vehicle to users and healthcare professionals using mobile technology.
During the presentation, questions provided new perspectives on future research directions and areas for improvement. The conference boasted attendance from many medical professionals, and various technology companies offering AI-related tools and services participated in the corporate exhibition area. We were impressed by the advanced level of the latest AI technology and recognized the potential to further expand LifeShuttle’s functions by empowering them via AI!
