FUTU-RE Vehicle Projects
FUTU-RE is fully invested in delivering independent self-driving mobility solutions designed to address focused societal challenges. In response to an increasingly aging society, our Senior Mobility Vehicle is designed to offer older people increased freedom of mobility and better quality of life in the context of a residential care facility.
The vehicle allows for greater independence of movement, free from supervision, giving residents an increased sense of freedom and spontaneity. At the same time, biometric sensors in the vehicle monitor passenger wellbeing, and in normal operation, the associated data forms part of the wider care context. Of course, if the vehicle detects an emergency, staff can be alerted immediately.
Our Autonomous Lifter builds on this underlying intelligence, but addresses a very different societal problem, that of ensuring the smooth and hassle-free delivery of e-commerce to residents of high-density, high-rise accommodation. The design focuses on deploying smart lockers with maximum mobility in complex environments.

DATA COLLECTION AND ADAS TESTING
Today’s vehicles are equipped with increasingly sophisticated Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Development of these systems requires the gathering of large amounts of data, using specially outfitted test vehicles. Responding to industry demand for high-quality development data, Pacific Enterprise’s core function is the delivery of data collection and ADAS test projects for clients worldwide.
Autonomous Vehicle Projects
Every day, FUTU-RE engineers are engaged in working with our customers to deliver their autonomous vehicle projects. We have a strong background in heavy vehicle automation, including past projects related to truck platooning. We are currently engaged in a project to achieve level 4 automation for heavy vehicles on the public highway.
One of our core competencies is engineering advanced control systems and associated logic. We are able to work to optimize existing systems, or build them from the ground up. Sensor fusion is another area that we consider key to our approach and the value that we can add to a project.

OUR ROLE
For clients working to strict development budgets and timetables, gathering effective data to support the development of such automotive systems is mission-critical. Pacific Enterprise aims to meet this challenge by managing data collection and ADAS test projects at home in Japan as well as overseas, including wider Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Our European subsidiary, MIRAI DATA B.V. enables us to work across time zones to suit our clients.
We offer the option of integrating hardware and software into test vehicles ourselves. If customers cannot get a vehicle to a test location, we can install test equipment in-country on their behalf. In this way, there are few places in which Pacific Enterprise is unable to deliver a successful test.
3rd Party Evaluation
Our experience building our own vehicles and collaborating on autonomous vehicle projects means we are well placed to evaluate or your design or prototype. In addition, we can advise on a diverse range of associated areas, including compliance with international standards, software development including drivers and communication protocols, and embedded systems.
In addition, we are able to exploit our wider group-company experience to support with physical and simulated test- and data collection projects, as well as defined-parameter evaluations.
