We were honored to welcome Mr. Edwin Zonder from the Netherlands’ Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and Mr. Takashi Yamaguchi from the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) to our headquarters in Nagoya on November 14, 2024. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our R&D team’s latest innovations, including a number of vehicles currently in development.
During their visit, we demonstrated ParcelPal, our autonomous package delivery vehicle, in a simulated environment that mirrors the actual facilities at which the platform is planned to be deployed first. Both Mr. Zonder and Mr. Yamaguchi experienced firsthand the vehicle’s advanced autonomous navigation capabilities, observing the vehicle successfully maneuvering through narrow paths and entrances while avoiding obstacles, including pedestrians. The demonstration also saw our innovative EHMI (External Human-Machine Interface) technology in action, comprised of vibrant LED light strips and matrix screen that signal the vehicle’s intent to users and passers-by. These features not only enhance the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal but also work to ensure those around the vehicle are aware of its presence and its intended actions, helping to ensure safety for everyone.
Both Mr. Zonder and Mr. Yamaguchi expressed keen interest in the future development of our vehicles and our business, engaging with our team through insightful questions throughout their visit. We greatly appreciate this valuable exchange and look forward to future collaboration.
